CERES: Multi-Electrode Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) Systems

02 Ağustos 2026

Jeofizik ERT STM32 C/C++ Python LoRaWAN/GSM/Wi-Fi

Under LARES Engineering and Earth Sciences Ltd., which I founded in 2019, we design, manufacture, and market multi-electrode Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) systems under the CERES product family.

What CERES does

ERT is a geophysical method that images the subsurface resistivity distribution by sequentially injecting current and measuring voltage across many electrodes placed on the ground. CERES automates this measurement cycle across the electrode array, collects the data, and packages it for real field use.

Where it came from

This work grew out of combining my geophysics engineering background (Ankara University, B.Sc. 2017, M.Sc. 2024) with advanced electronics and embedded software. In 2016, at the 6th Geoelectric Workshop, I presented MT2DGUI, a MATLAB GUI for 2D inversion of MT data; in 2018, at the 7th Geoelectric Workshop, I presented WiRes, an Arduino-based multi-channel wireless receiver system for DC resistivity measurements. CERES is the industrial-grade, production-ready evolution of that early work.

Scope of the product family

It's not limited to ERT hardware — under the same roof we also develop custom data acquisition platforms, embedded control software, and client-specific automation solutions, growing this work with R&D support such as TÜBİTAK's 1512 Techno-Entrepreneurship program.

I'll cover the hardware design and the field/inversion side in separate write-ups.
